Just a few thoughts on the first games. Ireland tried hard but are just not good enough. A least they scored and gave the fans something to cheer about. The England game was hard to watch, boring defensive football but they deserved the draw Most impressive team so far - Russia Most disappointing team - Holland Lets hope the next set of matches are better

poor Ireland they did give it a welly but bless holland were unlucky though they should have had a pen i think, spain to me looked like they are going to suffer in front of goal, they are missing Villa badly today i have to report on some violence involving the russian/poland fans, i think the organisers expected this to be a dodgy fixture and with it being russian day and their fans threatening to march up to the stadium it was bound to lead to trouble lets hope after the game all is ok

I really enjoyed the Portugal/Denmark game today, I thought Ronaldo was going to rue a certain goal when he was through one on one with the keeper and missed by a mile but luckily for him his teammate got him out of jail

Portugal looked good last night - they will give the winners of Spain/France problems in the semis Germany should be far too good for Greece tonight - Spain to beat France and England/Italy is a coin toss - penalties???

Germany v Italy Spain v Portugal Great line-up for the semis - 4 best teams still in the competition England did not try to win their match, no attacking, the French were the same - afraid to get beat. Now they are both out.
