UPDATE... 6 Oct 08 18.53pmits bad news about Martin peeps heres the press statement from Liverpool tv Martin Skrtel will discover in the next 24 hours how long he will be out of action after a scan revealed posterior cruciate ligament damage in his right knee. The Slovakian defender was stretchered off during Sunday's 3-2 victory at Manchester City after falling awkwardly on the edge of his own penalty area. "Martin underwent a scan this morning which showed damage to the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee," said club spokesman Ian Cotton. "He will see a specialist tomorrow to assess the extent of the injury and will then have an accurate idea of the timescales involved before he is back playing again.
