I thought the story of Nabil El Zhar signing for us had gone dead but have noticed he played for reserves tonight.
Moroccan midfielder Nabil El Zhar signed a four-year contract with Liverpool at the end of last week. The 19-year-old was not satisfied with the offer of French club St Etienne for which he played last season. El Zhar impressed the management of the English club during the 2005 World Youth Championships, where he was named the second-best player behind Lionel Messi.
