Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia has said that the Reds are keen to sign him. Amelia is weighing up his future at Livorno with the club looking to discuss a new contract with the player.
The 24-year-old has admitted he will make a decision over his future in the New Year with Chelsea and Juventus also thought to be keeping tabs on him.
"As for the contract renewal with Livorno, there have been talks between me, my agent (my father) and president Aldo Spinelli and everything is okay, but the sign will arrive in the New Year. Market? It's true there is an English side and as far as I know Liverpool are the one who insist more."
The keeper admitted that he was flattered at the interest, but he admitted his dream is to return to Roma.
"Milan? Me and my father know nothing," added Amelia. "I'm happy to be linked to so many big sides like Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool and Juventus as someone says should Buffon leave. If Milan would like to sign me I think they would have to spend a lot of money and if they make this choice it will mean Dida will leave. My desire? If I could choose I'd come back home, that's to say at Roma, but there is a keeper, Doni, who is doing really good things and it's true also I have interest elsewhere."
